Solid Progress at Jerez: Arenas Takes Sixth Across the Line
27 April 2025 | Spanish GP – Jerez de la Frontera
ITALJET GRESINI Moto2
The Spanish Grand Prix weekend at Jerez delivered important lessons and encouraging steps forward for the Italjet Gresini Moto2 team, as Albert Arenas powered to a strong sixth-place finish in front of a passionate home crowd.
Despite high expectations coming into the race, Arenas delivered a mature and tactical performance that underlines the progress made in recent rounds. After a minor incident on the opening lap caused him to lose ground, Albert showed great composure and fighting spirit, battling back to secure valuable points and momentum heading into the next round.

ALBERT ARENAS #75
“The expectations for today’s race were obviously high, but we knew that before taking the win, we had to consolidate our rhythm. We surely made a step forward today, but we can do more. We’re closer and more consistent, and we gathered important information for the next step. Unfortunately a small coming together on the first lap cost me a couple of positions and it was difficult to recover from there. Now let’s focus on the next round, in order to come back even stronger at Le Mans!”
Albert’s sixth place is not only another important boost in the championship standings but a clear sign that both rider and machine are edging ever closer to the sharp end of the field.
Meanwhile, teammate Darryn Binder faced a tougher weekend. After promising signs during qualifying, Darryn battled through a difficult race day. Despite the struggles, he showed true determination by bringing the bike home safely and gathering crucial data for the rounds ahead.
DARRYN BINDER #15
“It’s been a really tough weekend for me: I thought we found the way yesterday in the qualifying, but unfortunately I really struggle in the race. I managed to finish the race anyway, to take the bike home and collect information for the next one. Now reset for Le Mans, we’ll try again!”
At Italjet, we never settle – and neither do our riders. With the spirit of progress driving us forward, the whole team now turns its focus to the legendary Le Mans circuit, aiming for an even stronger showing.
For us at Italjet, this partnership with Gresini Racing is far more than just a marketing exercise. It represents the coming together of two proud brands, almost neighbours, born and raised in Italy’s legendary Motor Valley. Motorsport has been part of Italjet’s DNA since the very first day we opened our doors.
At Italjet, we are proud disruptors of the industry – a small, family-run company going against the grain of what’s expected, playing on the same field as huge corporate entities, but doing it our way. Gresini Racing mirrors this same spirit: a private, non-factory team taking on – and beating – the big-budget factory squads.
While like any racing team we are always chasing victory, we are just as proud of our riders for the drive, determination, and bravery they show every time they throw a leg over the bike. To us, every time they go out and fight, they are flying the Italjet flag with pride – and for that, they already make us winners.
