Albert Arenas continued his strong form in France with a blistering qualifying performance, securing 4th on the grid and missing out on a front-row start by just 0.006 seconds. (We’re not saying it haunts us, but if you hear distant screaming from the garage, it’s probably someone replaying the timing screen)

Albert has been dialled in all weekend, and today’s result only confirms he’ll be one to watch when the lights go out tomorrow.
Earlier in the day, Arenas also impressed in Free Practice 2, again finishing 4th with a time of 1’34.980s. The team focused heavily on race pace in the morning, laying the groundwork for a smart and calculated qualifying session.
“We worked on the race pace this morning and the feeling was really good. Then in qualifying we couldn’t exploit the potential of the bike to the fullest. We had some challenges in the first run, the feeling was not ideal, but then we managed to improve a little. We took fourth place by pushing to the limit: now we know what direction we need to follow, I’m focused and satisfied with the work we’re doing. Let’s try to aim at being even more precise in the race tomorrow.”
With just fractions separating the top riders, it was an ultra-competitive session — but Arenas showed the poise and aggression needed to stay right in the fight. He’ll start tomorrow’s race from P4, just off the front row, with serious pace in his pocket and full confidence from the garage.
